Information is given here relating to the forthcoming course in May 2010, its content, details of the Faculty and how to apply for a place on the course.

Learning Objectives:

  • To become familiar with facial anatomy and practical surgical dermatology.
  • Able to diagnose various skin lesions, particularly skin malignancy and be able to decide on appropriate management.
  • To be familiar with various options of management and be able to execute various facial flaps appropriately.
  • Familiarise with principles of rhinoplasty, including patient selection, common surgical manoeuvres, osteotomies, and complications and their management.
  • To understand Otoplasty and auricular reconstruction – patient selection, surgical procedures, and complications.
  • Familiarise with problems related to ageing face and facial rejuvenation procedures
  • Be familiar with injectables such as Botulinum toxin and commonly used fillers for facial rejuvenation. Acquire basic knowledge of Lasers used for facial rejuvenation.
  • Familiarise with cosmetic surgical procedures – face lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty and ancillary procedures. To understand the complications of both surgical and non-surgical facial procedures and be able to prevent diagnose and treat appropriately.

  • Dentists and GPs with special interest in Facial Aesthetic Procedures
